What is open banking?

Open Banking (or CDR) is an ecosystem of policies, standards and companies that support safely sharing customer data with third parties that can provide value-adding services with that data. In short, if can use your customer data to provide better products or service (and your customers agrees), Open Banking will enable you to access that data.

Open Banking is not just about banking. It provides the same safe data-access to other industries. Right now you can also access energy data, but more industires are coming soon.

Where does Boatshed fit in?

Boatshed is a data recipient, meaning we've setup infrastructure to safely broker consent between you, your customers and their data holders (banks). Once this consent is established you will be able to access CDR data.
